Information about Özdere
The village Özdere was known as an "original fishing-village without mass-tourism in a romantic Bay in the Aegean Sea" many years ago. Since about 10 years it can be added to this statement that Özdere turned into a village that is also for tourists very interesting.
Nowadays Özdere is a touristic place with a good infrastructure and a mild climate during the whole year. There are a little less than 9000 inhabitants and around 3000 high quality hotel beds (small pensions and summerhouses not included). The village is very suitable for families with children, because there are nice sandy beaches and enough peace and quiet.
Nice big mandarin plantations and a hinterland with forests and rough nature characterize this nice holiday resort that lies between Çesme and Kusadasi at the south-west of the metropolis Izmir.

In the neighboring center, on foot about 5 minutes from the hotel, you find a bank with pin-machine, post-office, medical services (doctor, dispensary, first aid) en 2 supermarkets where you can find about all the daily needs. Along the main street, at which also the hotel is situated, you find many shops and restaurants.

Trips and excursions
In or near Özdere you can walk, swim, snorkel and dive. There are many places where you can rent cars or scooters, so you can tour through the neighborhood on your own.
Besides this you can participate in many organized trips. There are excursions to all the areas worth seeing, among which Ephesus and Pamukkale. It is also possible to make boat trips to for example Samos. Accompanied by experienced tourist guides you can visit the surrounding cities, where of course you will get to see all the most beautiful places.
